Texans Awarded Kofi Hughes Off of Waivers

The Houston Texans were awarded wide receiver Kofi Hughes off of waivers today who was most recently with the Washington Redskins.

Hughes was a four-year letter winner at Indiana University where he ended his career with 132 receptions for 1,956 yards and 13 touchdowns. He appeared in 45 games for the Hoosiers with 31 career starts and becomes the 19th Hooiser to reach 100 catches and 1,000 yards in his career. His best season came in 2013 when he posted 47 receptions for 739 yards and 7 touchdowns.

He was signed by the Redskins as a rookie free agent after the 2014 NFL draft.

Offensive Lineman Kevin Forsch was waived to make room for Hughes.
