Texans Claim Two Offensive Lineman

The Houston Texans continued their roster shuffle and claimed two offensive lineman off of waivers today. They claimed offensive guard Conor Boffeli from the Minnesota Vikings and offensive tackle Anthony Dima from the Cleveland Browns.

Conor Boffeli, 6-4, 298 lbs. Iowa
Honorable mention all-Big 10 Ten in 2013 and Boffeli started all 13 games for the Hawkeyes at left guard. He started three games in 2012 after injuries on the offensive line allowed him to move into the starting role.

Considered a raw and light framed offensive lineman, he is suited to help as a swing interior lineman.

Boffeli was invited to the Minnesota Vikings rookie mini-camp and on May 19th waived to make room for two new signings.

Anthony Dima, 6-7, 300 lbs. UMass

A transfer from Hofstra, Dima had 31 started for UMaa and anchored their offensive line in 2013 and 2013 at left tackle. He was named All-MAC 3rd team after the 2013 season and was part of the Outland Trophy preseason watch list to start the season.

Dima was signed after the draft and invited to Cleveland Browns rookie mini-camp only to be waived.

Also is a side note the Texans waived injured offensive tackle Chris Martin (UCF) who was injured during rookie mini camp and he cleared waivers which allowed the Texans to place him on their injured reserve.
