Texans Bring Back Elbert Mack

The Houston Texans have re-signed cornerback Elbert Mack for the 2014 season, the terms of the deal were not disclosed. Mack was with the Texans during camp in 2013 and was cut prior to setting the 53 man roster, but was resigned late in the season by the Texans.

Mack appeared in 8 games for the Texans were he was an above average special teams player which he had 8 tackles. The veteran has appeared in 73 games in the NFL, 58 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and 7 for the New Orleans Saints.

He was signed by the Buccaneers in 2008 as a free agent rookie out of Troy and has totaled 74 career tackles with 6 career interceptions.

Mack adds another veteran back to the secondary and the second Texans’ player from the 2013 roster to be brought back for the upcoming season.
