The Houston Texans season has started, at least for the team who has started their off-season workout schedule. The news continues to trickle out and here are some quick hitters from the Texans.

Andre Brown Talks About His Injuries

New Texans running back Andre Brown has dealt with injuries since being drafted by the New York Giants in 2009.

Johnny Manziel and Blake Bortles Dates Set to Visit the Texans

The Texans have two of the top quarterbacks coming to Houston for their pre-draft visit. Bortles is set for April 15th and 16th and Manziel is in Houston, April 21st and 22nd. This is closing in to the end of the process for the Texans to set their draft board and getting them here to Houston will give the final insight on the quarterbacks. Teddy Bridgewater and Jadeveon Clowney also have meetings set up with the Texans, but the dates are unknown.

The Texans Start Off-Season Workouts

The biggest take away is the work new Strength and Conditioning Coach Craig Fitzgerald is putting in with the Texans. The weight room has changed and now their will be MMA training introduced to the team’s condition. Dave Zangaro (CSN Houston) talked to T.J. Yates, Chris Myers and Garrett Graham on the new changes the Texans have implemented.

Texans Represented at Towson Pro Day

New Texans Director of Pro Personnel Brian Gaine was watching running back Terrance West, who has been gaining momentum from NFL teams. His junior season was his breakout year when he rushed for 2,509 yards and 41 touchdowns. For his career he averaged over 6.1 yards on 802 carries in his college career with 84 career touchdowns.

Gaine is an important piece to the scouting department and this should be noted on the real interest on West.
