Texans and Bill O’Brien Set for LSU Pro Day

The Houston Texans will be heading to Baton Rouge to attend LSU’s pro day showcasing 17 prospects. According to James Palmer (CSN Houston) Head Coach Bill O’Brien will be attending the event more than likely to see quarterback Zach Mettenberger in action for the first time since tearing his ACL in the teams final regular season game.

Mettenberger took off in 2013 under his new offensive coordinator Cam Cameron throwing for 3,082 yards (64.9 completion %) with 22 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. Mobility is an issue for the 6-5 224 lbs. quarterback, but his arm strength and knowledge of a pro style offense is what makes him intriguing as a prospect. O’Brien has brought up Mettenberger’s name on more than one occasion and now he will be able to see him live on Wednesday.

The big names to watch are Mettenberger, Odell Beckham Jr. (WR), Jarvis Landry (WR), Jeremy Hill (RB) and Trai Turner (OG). The full group of participants are listed here.
