The Texans claimed Sam Longo from the Miami Dolphins

According to Adam Wexler (CSN Houston) the Houston Texans have claimed offensive lineman Sam Longo from the Miami Dolphins. With the move the Texans released recently signed Brice Schwab to make room for Longo.

The Cincinnati product turned heads during his Pro Day when he completed 47 repetitions of the 225-pound bench press. He ran a 5.27 second 40-yard dash, but had an injured ankle when he did it, along with a 33-1/2 inch vertical jump and an 8-foot, 9-inch broad jump. Longo played guard for the Bearcats, assisting on an offense that led the nation in rushing yards per game (168 ypg).

The Texans are looking for more bodies on the interior of their offensive line that is thin from the injury to starting guard Brandon Brooks and the loss of David Quessenberry. The Texans continue to shuffle the interior of their offensive line to get ready for the preseason schedule.
