Boselli May Miss Season Opener

OT Tony Boselli

Texans left tackle Tony Boselli may not be available for the opening game against the Dallas Cowboys. The 8-year veteran had surgery for the third time in less than a year on Monday morning on his left shoulder.

Texans left tackle Tony Boselli underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder Monday morning, which might make him unavailable for the opening game September 8th against the Dallas Cowboys.

Boselli, has undergone three procedures on his left shoulder since last last year and two in the last eight weeks.

"We'll know more in a month than we know now," GM Charley Casserly said.

"There is no exact timetable, because you can't predict these things. Sure, we would like for him to play sooner than later, but we want to look at the long-range picture and play him when he's healthy."

Boselli played in three games last season with Jacksonville before being placed on the injured reserve list. He had surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right shoulder in October and then had arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder in early November.
