The Houston Texans made several roster moves that were
announced yesterday, including signing CB Kevin Garrett and LB Roy Manning to the
team.
Garrett (5-10, 194) has 3 years of NFL experience, all with
the St. Louis Rams. He has played in 23 career games and recorded 20 career
tackles (16 solo). Manning (6-2, 245) joins the Texans after playing 1 year in
Green Bay. While he was there, Manning totaled 25 tackles (13 solo) and 1 pass
deflection in 15 games.
The Texans also announced that they have moved CB Roc
Alexander to the Injured Reserve list. Alexander (5-10, 190) has torn his
anterior cruciate ligament and will be out for the rest of the season.
Rookie RB Chris Taylor (6-0, 224) has also been released
from the Texans active roster and signed to the practice squad, while FB Robert Douglas (6-2, 237) was released from the
practice squad.
The Texans have 53 players on the active roster and 7
players on the practice squad.
