Prior to Sunday’s game, BattleRedNation gave you a list of some key, under the radar players to watch against the Titans. We are now going to examine how those players performed.
|
When the Texans were on offense:
Kevin Walter / Andre Davis - Walter and Davis weren’t huge contributors, but they did combine for six catches for 75 yards.
Duane Brown - He didn’t get completely dominated by Kyle Vanden Bosch, as the Titans defensive end had just one solo tackle, one sack, and a forced fumble.
Interior offensive line - The Titans big defensive tackles came to play, and played well as the duo of Haynesworth and Brown had eight combined stops and one sack.
Tony Brown - Brown was held in check for much of the day, accounting for just three tackles.
Cortland Finnegan - The Titans corner is turning into an impact player as he registered six tackles and his league leading fourth interception of the year, which he took back 99 yards for a touchdown.
When the Titans were on offense:
Titans offensive line - The Titans offensive line paved the way for 154 rushing yards and allowed zero sacks. With a mostly one-dimensional offense, these guys are the best in the business.
Justin Gage / Lavelle Hawkins - Justin Gage was inactive with an injury, and Hawkins caught as many passes as I did on Sunday.
Bo Scaife - The Titans tight end was the team’s leading receiver among tight ends, as he caught three passes for 26 yards and found pay-dirt with an 9-yard touchdown reception.
Anthony Weaver / Jeff Zgonina - The pair of veteran defensive linemen did very little to impact the game, as they combined for just four tackles.
Zac Diles - More good play from Diles, as he had eight tackles and a forced fumble. This guy can play.
C.C. Brown - The lesser known C.C. in the world of sports had four tackles on Sunday in a losing cause.
