Glover Quin has solid size at 5'11", 204 lbs., and has solid measurables, running a 4.5 second 40-yard dash, posting a 38" vertical leap, and even putting up 22 reps on the bench press. The former Lobo recorded 53 tackles, 4.5 TFL, five interceptions, and 11 pass breakups, earning him first-team All-Mountain West honors.
The selection of Quin is a bit of a surprise, as Mike Mickens, Victor “Macho” Harris, and Joe Burnett were all still on the board at corner, and Andre Brown, Rashad Jennings, and Javon Ringer all still available at running back. The Texans may have plans on moving Quin to free safety as he is a very solid tackler, and the team certainly has a need at the back end of their defense.
