The Houston Texans trimmed their roster by waiving quarterback Alex Brink, offensive tackle Doug Dedrick, and linebacker Kevis Coley.

The decision to cut Brink was hardly a surprise, as the Texans have Dan Orlovsky and Rex Grossman behind starter Matt Schaub. Brink has practice squad eligibility remaining so the Texans could bring him back after training camp.

Coley was on the Texans practice squad, and has been previously signed by the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Cincinnati Bengals.

Dedrick was an undrafted rookie from Iowa State.
