When the offseason began, the Texans believed that they had to add depth on the offensive line to keep quarterback Matt Schaub upright and healthy, as they spent a couple of high picks on Eric Winston and Duane Brown. When Florida's Jason Watkins was available, they quickly brought him in to compete for a backup job.
