According to John McClain from the Houston Chronicle the Houston Texans have brought in free agent safety Chris Clemons to the team facility.

Clemons was a 5th round pick out of Clemson in the 2009 NFL draft, and spent five seasons with the team. He was drafted by current Texans pro personnel director Brian Gaine when Gaine was the assistant general manager for the Dolphins.

In five seasons Clemons has appeared in 72 games with 48 career starts. He has totaled 278 total tackles with 4 interceptions.

The Texans seems to have a concerted effort to add quality depth to the safety position, and this news comes on the heels of the Texans signing safety Kendrick Lewis last week.
