Running back Ben Tate tweeted the picture above last Friday night of Terminal Tower in Cleveland, Ohio and now he will call the city home.Tate, according to Adam Schefter, has signed a two-year deal to play with the Browns and this has been brewing for over a year. The Browns have kept the interest on the running back no secret which could almost borderline tampering charges from the NFL.
Tate has been plagued by injuries his entire career since being drafted in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft out of Auburn. His rookie season was ended quickly in preseason with an ankle injury that sidelined him for the entire season and opened the door for Arian Foster to take over the starting role in Houston.
He rushed for 1,992 yards with 10 touchdowns with a 4.7 per attempt average. Tate gained much respect in 2013 when he took over for the injured Foster and played majority of the season with 4 broken ribs.
The loss of Tate marks the 7th different Texans’ player from 2013 to find a new team for the 2014 season.
