Brian Cushing Cleared for the 2014 Season

Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing tweeted out from his account after a visit to Pensacola, Florida that he has been cleared for the 2014 season.

Cushing has missed 9 games last season after breaking his leg and tearing his LCL on a cut block from Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles. During the 2012 season, Cushing missed 11 games after he was chopped blocked by Matt Slauson in a game against the New York Jets that ended with a torn ACL.

Cushing is an important piece for the Texans defense and trying to keep him healthy for the 2014 season is an top priority for Bill O’Brien and his staff.
