According to Field Yates (ESPN) the Houston Texans are going to waive 2013 3rd round draft pick Brennan Williams with a failed physical designation. Williams is an offensive tackle that was injured during rookie mini-camp in 2013 in a non-contact drill. He did comeback during the preseason to play against the Dallas Cowboys, but was ultimately placed on the injured reserve to get healthy.
Williams spent all off-season getting ready for the season and at one point said he was going to be healthy for the first time in over two years for
training camp. He did not participate in mini-camps or OTAs and spent time on the side fields taking part in rehab.
Williams was drafted in the 3rd round out of North Carolina in the 2013 NFL draft and did not play in an official NFL game.
I want to thank the Texans and the city of Houston for the great opportunity! It didn't work out how anyone (cont) http://t.co/jGBKIE6z5s— qt Brennan Williams (@GREATBLACKOTAKU) July 21, 2014
